Tomorrow is an extra day off for me which I have taken to try and use some of my holidays so they do not go to waste.
It is quite difficult to use your holidays when you work in retail especially in a small shop like mine. Arranging cover is extremely complicated and most of the time it is easier just to turn up at work than to actually go through the hassle of arranging cover.
This is what I have been doing so far and it proved to be unrewarding and exhausting. So now I am going to look after my needs first and then worry about work. Of course in this sounds rather luxirious in this current economic environment but it does not pay to be the idiot who is always there either.
I need my rest and my time for leisure. The summer is gone and apart from reading the set books I haven't done much else. I want to catch up a little and enjoy myself.
I have no plans and intend to have none just will see where the day will take me.
Many people don't know what to do with their free time. I've worked with people who would come in to work on their holidays, just to ... you know - lend a hand should it be needed.
