Learning to write

Doing a writing course at university is actually quite interesting and unlike all the diy writing courses and exercises actually makes you write and more. After all you know if you will not deliver your marks will drop significantly and whilst U am not studying for marks but for knowledge I do not want a worthless degree either.
I find it interesting that degrees themselves are evaluated according to your results here in the UK. I have never encountered such a system before. I am obviously not in the league for 1:1 or even 1:2 so I will have to settle for the 2:1 I think. This system confuses me every time no matter how I look at it so I will just focus on learning what I can grasp.
