These are the photographs of the view which i enjoy every time i attend my monthly literature lecture in King's college.
The love and the affair in the title thus represents more than one thing. Love of freedom which allows me to follow my dreams. Love of the city of London which always gives me something unexpected. Love of literature which feeds my dreams. Love of learning which i hope will stay with me throughout life...
Everytime i hop off distric line in Embankment station and then rush up the steps of the bridge (i call it the Embankment bridge but it never occured to me to find ou its name!) heading towards Waterloo, i feel a burst of life within myself. I do not know whethet it is down to the anticipation of the lecture, the beautiful views or just the air and the bustle of the city, but it feeds me emotionally and spiritually.
Everytime i look from that bridge i find something new i never saw or heard before. Thus the crossing of the bridge becomes symbolic. I am crossing over to learn and find my future. I cross back over to go home and rest in the stability of the present.
Still, just like a human being, London is everchanging and active.
This love affair WILL NEVER END.
