Inspiration

The picture on the leftis my current source of inspiration in my home making effort. Of course I do not have room for such a luxirious item as a display cabinet in my tiny flat, but the beauty of a small flat is, everything is on display. Then one is left with couple of options. Turn everything into a tidy and lovely display of one's posessions or into a pigsty. I prefer the first option.
Today I finally purchased the bedding set I wanted for my home and combined with the beautiful cushion I received as a house warming gift from my friend yesterday it will look magnificent. Now it is just small bits (lots of small bits like laundry basket, hooks, bathroom cabinet and some kitchenware) plus London Underground shower curtain, a curtain pole for my bay window and a load of material for sofas and curtains.

Talking of which, it is the stuff on the left. Mr. Moon does not like it, however I think that combined with black and white cushions will look divine. Fortunately Mr. Moon is kind enough to put up with my taste which he does not always agree with.
However, so far all my ideas, previously named as ridiculous worked out rather lovely. Good thing I don't like the phrase 'I told you so!'.
This tiny flat that felt so warm during the viewing is becoming an even warmer home, which makes me very happy. For the first time in my life I have chosen where I will live absolutely freely. It sort of gives me a new feeling of confidence and a realisation of how much I can do on my own.
Still, I like Mr. Moon's participation in my life. The current arrangement is actually perfect. I see him enough but not too much and have a few days to myself, which I really enjoy.
Now it is one of the days when I am enjoying his company and thus I am going for a walk on the seaside. Oh I love living here...
