What awonderful day!

Today started not as one would expect it to be on the day off. Slowly I crawled out of the bed,not quite sure, do I really want to do this. After such an exciting week of attending a book launch I was not sure I can handle a day of book shopping either emotionally or financially. But a promise is a promise and I did so with joy!

20 books purchased:
  1. Jayne Eyre by Charlotte Brontë
  2. Room by Emma Donoghue
  3. A Wedding in December by Anita Shreve
  4. Antarctica by Claire Keegan
  5. South Africa & Other Poems by A. Vine Hall
  6. Call me Elizabeth by Dawn Annandale
  7. Balzac and the Little Seamstress by Dai Sijie
  8. The Devil and Miss Prym by Paulo Coelho

  18. Poems on the Underground edited by Gerard Benson, Judith Chernaik and Cicely Herbert
  19. The Gift by Mia Dolan
  20. Roget's Thesaurus 1966 edition
Along with this super size bundle of joy I also brought home four other items. A hanging plate dedicated to fish and chips (picture to follow shortly) and two coloured bottles (red and blue, perfect for making different flavour olive oils) and a brass bird, which everyone else thought to be hideous, so hideous I was given it for free. The bird is a pheasant.Link
If all these joys are not enough, I have also acquired two of the items from my wish list. The so long desired London Underground Shower Curtain and the Waste Sorting Unit. Other items from the wish list I intend to get myself at later date.

So there was loads of exercise. A divine lunch in Italian restaurant and lots of treasures found in a great variety of charity shops. Intelligent conversation with a lovely lady and lots of laughter and now as I am becoming insufferably tired I am crawling back into bed to watch WALL-E.
